Mute a stream

Messages from muted streams do not show up in All messages or generate notifications, unless you are mentioned. Messages from muted streams do not generate alert word notifications.

Muted streams still appear in the left sidebar, though they are grayed out.

Some parts of the uKnowva Messenger experience may start to degrade if you receive more than a few hundred muted messages a day.

Mute a stream

  1. Hover over a stream in the left sidebar.

  2. Click on the down chevron ().

  3. Select Mute the stream (stream name).

Unmute a stream

  1. Hover over a stream in the left sidebar.

  2. Click on the down chevron ().

  3. Select the Unmute the stream (stream name).
