Change your name

By default, everyone can change their name in uKnowva Messenger. You can write your name in any language you'd like.

Organization administrators can change anyone's name, and prevent users from changing their names. This is useful when users' names are managed via LDAP or another data source.

Change your name

  • None

  1. Go to Your account.

  2. Under User settings, click on the button with your name in it.

  3. Change your name, and click Save.

Note: If you are unable to click on the button with your name, check that your organization allows name changes. Follow the steps at prevent users from changing their names to view your organization's settings.

Reserved words

The words "all", "everyone", and "stream" have special meanings, and if you choose them as your display name, nobody will be able to mention you.
